Tom has always had an interest in sport, health and human anatomy. As a passionate sportsman he has had his fair share of injuries over the years. This has driven him to help others with their complaints and has ultimately led him to a career in Osteopathy. Tom is a Beaconsfield local, having grown up in the area, and has strong family connections throughout the local community.
Tom prides himself on his communication. He aims to improve the lives of his patients by tailoring treatment and management plans for each individual and empowers them with the tools to help achieve excellent outcomes. Tom provides a holistic approach when treating, incorporating a variety of Osteopathic techniques. He utilises a combination of firm and direct, as well as some more gentle techniques.
Having worked as an Osteopath for the last 4 years, Tom has developed a keen interest in work and sports-related injuries and rehabilitation and enjoys treating a diverse range of patients and complaints. With past experience as a provider of ergonomic and healthcare products, he has also been exposed to, and assisted with, many postural and musculoskeletal problems. He is a passionate footballer so is often speaking from experience when consulting patients about their injuries.
Glenn’s osteopathic journey began with a passion for helping those in need. After receiving treatment during his swimming career, he realised that taking a holistic approach to health, nutrition and integrated bodily movements was pivotal to his performance. He soon realised that osteopathy provided these elements, and was a vocation he wanted to pursue.
By keeping an open mind, Glenn aims to integrate a variety of different osteopathic approaches to achieve the desired outcome of all his patients’ physical and health endeavours. Glenn understands the importance of patient empowerment, and believes it is fundamental to address all factors contributing to his patients’ complaint rather than focusing on the problematic tissues.
Glenn’s interests in swimming have broadened and introduced him to triathlons, seeing him travel internationally to achieve his goal of qualifying for the World Championships. With this background, Glenn has not only treated those with ergonomic and growth-related complaints, but also different athletes across a range of fields.
Nathan always knew that he wanted to be in the health sector, because he wanted to be able to help people. He decided that he wanted to work as a physiotherapist from the age of 15 when he was struggling with his own foot pain, but it wouldn’t settle down. It wasn’t until his older brother, also an osteopath, convinced Nathan that he should look into Osteopathy for his foot pain and this is where his passion for osteopathy began.
Nathan believes that the body is interconnected several ways and always educates his patients how a previous untreated injury is now causing another issue. Nathan always looks at the entire body when treating, he will always treat you from head to toe as he believes the body functions as a unit. Nathan is confident in treating a range of conditions. Nathan enjoys treating sporting injuries, low back pain and posture related issues.
Having previously worked interstate and gaining experience at arguably the world's most prestigious college, The British School of Osteopathy this has led Nathan to treating professional athletes in AFL, rugby, golf and triathlons.
Our patients appreciate the warmth, professional integrity, and open communication that define our osteopathic practice. We're determined to help our patients understand their own health so they can be empowered and well informed when making important health decisions.
Whilst getting you out of pain is our main priority it's about finding out the cause of the problem to ensure that it doesn't return. Our unique clinical approach ensures that the whole body is addressed as a functioning unit to ensure that it doesn't return.
